Fahrenheit

October 2000 marks the beginning of an idea that existed in the minds of Alejandro Isaac and Luis Armendáriz, the project of creating a power metal band, something very hard to achieve since this kind of music is not very popular in their home country.
Adding the difficulty to find all the members needed to play with, when all musicians around were more interested in other genres, like pop rock, blues, etc. Nevertheless, with high hopes, the search for the missing members begins (drums, keyboards, bass and a second guitarist).
During the search, candidates were tried to fill those positions, and it was in January 2001 when Carlos Flores joins in as keyboardist.
The rest of the musicians were found and invited to join the band, sadly they were on board only to record and do some live presentations, afterwards they followed their own separate ways.
Epic Enter was recorded in May 2002, against the clock and many inconveniences, since there were no studios prepared to record metal music, and they wanted to have material ready to be promoted on upcoming festivals, like Prog Power USA and Wacken Open Air. Thankfully, Hugo Trevizo’s sound engineering experience and support helped tremendously to make this happen, also making the band sound great in live presentations.
Another big problem was the lack of a bass player, fortunately, Hugo suggested to invite Joel Amparán, a professional bass player, which in less than a week managed to learn the songs and add his own feeling to each one.
The search has continued since then, and during different auditions a new guitarist was found, Erick Yáñez.
In his short time with the band, he has proven to be a fine addition to the crew. Fahrenheit continues looking for the vacant positions, hoping to find them soon.
Fahrenheit is now working in the promotion of “Epic Enter” and preparing the next compilation, to be released early 2004, which will have more things to offer to our growing metal friends from all over the world.
